To find your NYSC certificate number, simply look at the top right corner of your NYSC discharge certificate. The number will be printed just below the year of your service.

How to Verify Your NYSC Certificate Number

There are two ways to verify your NYSC certificate number:

Online Verification

To verify your NYSC certificate number online, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the NYSC certificate verification portal: https://verify.nysc.org.ng
  2. Click on the “Proceed to Verification” button.
  3. Enter your certificate number and password.
  4. Click on the “Verify” button.

Note: You will be required to pay a processing fee of N2,000.

Offline Verification

To verify your NYSC certificate number offline, follow these steps:

  1. Write a letter to the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) requesting to verify your certificate number.
  2. Address the letter to:

  4. Mark the letter “Attention: Director (Corps Certification)”.
  5. Attach a photocopy of your NYSC discharge certificate to the letter.
  6. Submit the letter to the NYSC Directorate Headquarters.

Note: The NYSC can only verify Discharge Certificates, Exemption Letters, and Exclusion Letters.
