After NYSC Relocation, What Next?
Once your request for NYSC relocation has been approved, the next thing to do is to print out the relocation letter from the NYSC portal. This serves as formal confirmation of your relocation. You can learn how to check and print out your NYSC relocation letter.
With your relocation letter in hand, you will need to head to the NYSC state office in the newly assigned location. Upon getting there, present your letter to the appropriate personnel, in most cases, the Local Government Inspector’s office. The LGI will verify your documents and give your further instructions on what to do next.
Once your relocation is confirmed, you’ll receive guidance on getting a place of primary assignment (PPA). They might assigned to you a specific PPA or if you are lucky or unlucky enough, they might ask to find one yourself, I used luck or unlucky because if you have a specific PPA where you want to work, then you are lucky but you don’t have any, then you are unlucky because looking for a new PPA can a very stressful job, especially if you are in a state where you know no one.
With your PPA secured, it’s time to officially report for duty. Present your relocation letter and any other required documents to the PPA’s Human Resources department or the Head of Administration. They will give you an acceptance letter or rejection letter.
