Congratulations on successfully completing your NYSC online registration. Now, you are probably wondering what is the step to take after NYSC online registration.

Well, this blog post is written to answer your questions, so make sure you read everything carefully so that you don’t miss any important part of it.

What to Do After Completing NYSC Registration?

1. Payment for Call-Up Letter

Once you’ve submitted your registration, head over to your NYSC login dashboard and log in using your registered email address and password.

There, you’ll be prompted to make a one-time payment of N3,000 for your call-up letter. This payment will grant you access to print your NYSC green card, an essential document for the entire NYSC process.

2. Obtaining Medical Fitness Certificate

The medical fitness certificate is a mandatory requirement for all prospective corps members attending the NYSC camp. It serves to verify that you are physically and mentally fit to participate in the camp’s activities and programs.

Without this certificate, you won’t be allowed to enter or register at the camp. Therefore, it’s crucial to obtain your medical fitness certificate well in advance.

3. Printing NYSC Call-Up Letter

Before embarking on your NYSC orientation camp journey, ensure you have your NYSC call-up letter in hand.

This document contains essential information, including your camp venue, reporting date, and other important details.

How to Print NYSC Call Up Letter

To print your NYSC call-up letter, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the NYSC portal login dashboard: https://portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc1/
  2. Click on “Login here” and enter your email address and password.
  3. Scroll down and locate the “Print NYSC Call-Up Letter” option.
  4. Click on “Open/Download Call-Up Letter” and wait for the document to load.
  5. Once loaded, you can save the document to your device or print it out.

4. Preparing for NYSC Orientation Camp

Your NYSC call-up letter will specify the date you’re expected to report to the orientation camp. While there’s no penalty for arriving on a different date, especially if you’re traveling from a faraway state, it’s always advisable to adhere to the stipulated reporting date.

To make the most of your orientation camp experience, come prepared with the following essential items:

  • Bedding items (mattress, pillow, bedsheets)
  • Toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, etc.)
  • Mosquito repellent
  • Comfortable clothing and footwear
  • Documents (call-up letter, medical fitness certificate, academic certificates)
  • Extra cash for personal expenses
